Let’s all be part of a Green family
12.06.2009 10:48
The Green family is concerned about its carbon footprint. That is why they make use, as much as possible, of public transportation in their daily life. The bus is one of the privileged means of transportation that enables a flexible mobility to individuals and yet generates a very low carbon footprint. Therefore it has a major role to play in getting the air of our cities and surroundings cleaner.
"Our participation to the UITP congress and fair in Vienna stems
with our engagement and we wanted the visitors to acknowledge that.
Therefore we developed a campaign more around our understanding of
what's at stake." says Ali Murat Atlas, Managing Director Temsa
Europe.
Temsa believes very much in the predominant role of busses and
coaches with regards to the major challenges of our society. It is
also Temsa's vision, to develop customized solutions together with
the public authorities. This strong commitment takes the form of
the TEMSA AVENUE: the city bus of Temsa available in low floor and
low entry version. The vehicle has both left and right hand drive
options with 2 alternative fuel possibilities: Diesel and CNG.
Further alternatives are to come soon. But its strongest asset
without hesitation is its weight: 11,9 Tons for the CNG version,
10,3 Tons for the Diesel version. This has a tremendous impact on
the vehicle's overall carbon footprint.
"We penetrated this segment in September 2008," remembers Mehmet
Buldurgan, Chief Executive Officer Temsa Global, "since then we
have developed different versions and are collaborating with major
operators to gain know how and develop customized solutions. Our
commitment to the city bus segment is total."
