TEMSA was founded in Adana in 1968 under the name Termomekanik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. In 1984, TEMSA entered the automotive sector by signing a technical support and licence agreement with the Japanese Mitsubishi Group. TEMSA produced its first bus under Mitsubishi licence in 1987 and started production of Prestige midibus and Canter light truck models in 1992.
Gaining a strong foothold in the international market with the export drive initiated in the 2000s, TEMSA exported its first vehicles to Europe in 2001 and to the USA in 2008.
Operating with more than 1700 employees at its modern production facility in Adana, built on an area of 510.000 m², TEMSA has the capacity to produce a total of 10.000 vehicles, including 2.000 buses, 2.000 midibuses and 6.000 light trucks in a single shift each year.
Having produced more than 139.000 vehicles to date and exported over 17.000 vehicles to more than 70 countries, TEMSA continues to work with the vision of becoming one of the leading players shaping the future of mobility on a global scale, especially with its investments in electric vehicle technologies.
